SonicWALL Global VPN Client I have a Latitude E6530 with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I connect to several clients and have Cisco VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, SonicWALL NetExtender loaded on my laptop. SonicWALL's SSL-VPN product contains a stripped down version of their VPN client called NetExtender, which installs through a web browser. Basically, the NetExtender install fails, either through the browser or the standalone installer package available from the SonicWALL partner site. How do I install NetExtender? This document details the steps to installing the Dell SonicWall NetExtender for VPN access to campus systems from off-campus or over a wireless network on-campus. Some systems, such as Banner, UDrive, and SDrive require this VPN connection. Is there a way to add a pre shared key. My work uses dell’s sonicwall vpn (and on our windows machines we use the global vpn client to connect to our vpn) i’ve been trying for 4 days now to get either Ubuntu’s network manager with l2tp plugin the netextender app and a few others all to no avail.

Report a problem I have had issues with Windows 10 and NetExtender (never an issue with Windows 7). The problem I had was that Windows 10 tried to automatically use connections and DNS from all adapters. The result was a DNS issue when tabbing between the RDP connection and the Windows 10 desktop. The fix was to specify a lower metric number for NetExtender and a higher metric number for both the WiFi, and Ethernet adapter. You'll need to do this for both IPv4 and IPv6. What this does is ensures that your computer uses NetExtender first (including DNS) when needed. This might change depending on how/if you have split tunneling enabled.
It's of course always a good idea to make sure your Windows 10 is on the latest update.
Lots of great info here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/win-10-dns-resolution-of-remo...
I would also ensure that you have the correct settings for DNS and Domain in your Sonicwall settings. Is your domain listed? Are your DNS servers pointing at your domain controllers?
