Hay Budden Anvil Serial Numbers

I have a HAY-BUDDEN anvil with a base that I have not been able to find any information on. The anvil is 150 pounds(155 lbs. Per my bathroom scale), serial number 207415. Serial numbers were not used on Hay Budden Anvils until 1892. Look at the base, under the horn. You should be OK with a light grind. The face should be about 1/2' thick or more. Because of the hardening procedure, the hardness will decrease as you remove material from the face but should not be a problem.
